When Odeith’s anamorphic graffiti first hit our screens we immediately commented that it must be photoshopped. The way the letters just popped off the wall almost convinced us it was a digitally manipulated photograph. Further investigation showed our initial response was completely wrong and Odeith actually paints them that way. We knew he was painting at our Malta Street Art Festival so looked forward to seeing him in action. The graffiti writer throws up these pieces without any visual aids and gets it right every time. Odeith’s work is just as stunning in real life than what we see in photos. The pieces stand off the wall like a pop-up story book. Odeith is leading the field in anamorphic graffiti but just takes it in his stride. The Portuguese crew (Odeith, Pariz One, MrDheo) were always front and centre at the pool parties every night at Sensi Hotel after a long day painting in record heat.
