The streets of Palmerston North are a whole lot brighter thanks to 20 large-scale murals decorating the city after its first international street art festival. Street Prints Papaioea began on January 16, giving 10 international artists and 40 ManawatÅ« youth six days to complete murals aimed at connecting the community with art. On a wall of The Globe Theatre is Irish artist Fin Dacâs painting of ManawatÅ« mother and daughter, Karla and Awhina.
